USC Sea Grant joined the effort of creating a STEAM Powered Careers book series highlighting characters that reflect the diversity of our students. The book series was spearheaded by the USC Joint Educational Project in partnership with Room to Read after noticing the lack of students of color represented in books. Creating the book series was a university wide effort including USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts & Sciences, USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center, USC Viterbi School of Engineering, USC Rossier, USC Keck School of Medicine.  You can read more about the project from ideation to realization in this article

There are ten books in the series and they are digitally available for free. There is a lesson to accompany each book.
