Summary Statement of Research Interests
Ekaterina Tarasova is a second-year PhD student in the Slavic Department and a member of the Visual Studies Graduate Certificate Program at the University of Southern California. Her research focuses on pre-revolutionary and early Soviet cinema and interwar literature, with particular attention to co-authorship, censorship, and the transnational circulation and reception of Soviet cultural production. Her work has been presented at international conferences across the United States and Europe. She has extensive experience in archival research and has received numerous fellowships and awards, including competitive international and USC-based research grants.
