Biography

Chaerim Kim is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science and International Relations (POIR). She holds a B.A. in Political Science and International Relations, graduating summa cum laude from Sookmyung Women’s University (South Korea), and a M.A. in Political Science from Seoul National University (South Korea). Her dissertation examines gender and racial disparities in U.S. politics both at the candidate and voter levels. Pursuing an interdisciplinary approach that integrates political science, psychology, and sociology, her work investigates the influence of gender and racial stereotypes on candidate evaluations, as well as the systemic factors contributing to gender and racial gaps in politics. Methodologically, she is particularly interested in survey and experimental methods.
