2015 Dornsife Scholars Named

USC Dornsife Scholars emphasize positive human impact through the knowledge and talents they pursue in USC’s Discovery, Renaissance and Global Scholars programs.
ByDarrin S. Joy

Ten exceptional USC Dornsife seniors have earned a special place of honor among their fellow 2015 graduates — each was named a Dornsife Scholar.

Selected for their successes in educational fields that address both national and global questions of human value and social challenges, the 10 outstanding students each will receive $10,000 to be used to continue their studies as graduate students and emerging professionals.

The program, recognized throughout the university, is available only to outstanding graduating seniors whose major courses of study are in USC Dornsife. Recipients demonstrate a commitment to educational excellence and the advances that allow for improving the lives of people and addressing pressing global problems.

The Dornsife Scholars program honors Dana and David Dornsife, renowned philanthropists with the highest regard for education, and underscores the importance of core academic disciplines of the humanities, social sciences and natural sciences. USC Dornsife believes that a liberal arts education is the best preparation for students who wish to make a positive impact in the world.
