Tina Koneazny
Bio
Tina is Associate Director specializing in Administration and Educational Outreach. She came to JEP in 1994 to do a year of service as a VISTA (Volunteers in Service to America) through the Corporation of National Service, then returned to JEP in 1997 to direct the USC ReadersPlus program. She is a former elementary school teacher with five years of experience in the urban school district of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and holds a both B.A. and Masters degrees In Education. In addition to directing the USC ReadersPlus program, Tina works closely with JEP mini course Program Assistants in guiding student trainings and lesson plan development. She has created original curriculum for the following JEP outreach programs: Youth Impact Program football camp for middle school boys (literacy and math curriculum for middle school boys designed around football); WonderKids (STEM curriculum for 1st – 3rd grade students); and Little Yoginis (curriculum combining literacy and yoga around such themes as kindness, contentment and non-violence).
