Christopher Shera studies how the ear amplifies, analyzes, and emits sound. A Fellow of the Acoustical Society of America, Shera holds a PhD in physics and neurobiology from the California Institute of Technology. He works as Professor of Otolaryngology and Physics & Astronomy while directing USC’s Hearing and Communication Neuroscience Program. When not thinking about ears, he terrorizes domestic cats and dogs by attempting to play the cello.
