Meet the USC Dornsife Center for the Political Future Spring 2025 Fellows cohort. Our Fellows spend the semester leading study groups, as well as hosting office hours, roundtable discussions, and dozens of bi-partisan CPF political conversations and conferences throughout the year.

Ed Goeas

Ed Goeas is the former President and CEO of the Tarrance Group, one of the most respected Republican survey research and strategy teams in American politics.

His study group, “A Question of Respect: Polarization Before, During, and After the 2024 Election,” is on Wednesdays from 4-6PM.

Betsy Fischer Martin

Betsy Fischer Martin is the Executive Director of the Women & Politics Institute at American University and a former TV news executive.

Her study group, “Politics in the Television Age and Beyond,” is on Tuesdays from 4-6PM.

Jonathan Martin

Jonathan Martin is a senior political columnist and the politics bureau chief at POLITICO.

His study group, “Power Outage: Democrats and the Road to Recovery,” is on Tuesdays from 2-4PM.

Jessica Millan Patterson

Jessica Millan Patterson is the Chairwoman of the California Republican Party and the first woman, Latina, and millennial to hold the position.

Her study group, “Campaigns, California Style: Running for Office in the Golden State,” is on Wednesdays from 2-4PM.

Anthony Rendon

Anthony Rendon is the former Speaker of the California State Assembly and a former California State Representative for the 62nd District.

His study group, “Happiness and Public Policy,” is on Wednesdays from 12-2PM.

Cameron Trimble

Cameron Trimble is the former White House Director of Digital Engagement and the Founder of Hip-Politics, Inc.

His study group, “Digital Democracy: The Impact of Digital Platforms and Technology on Modern Politics,” is on Mondays from 5-7PM.
