Administrative Coordinator

Michael Amato is an Administrative Coordinator at the USC Center for the Political Future (CPF), where he supports office operations, events, and the POSC 395 internship and research programs. Michael is a sophomore from Naperville, Illinois majoring in Public Policy with an emphasis in Law.

On campus, Michael serves as the Assistant Director for the USC Political Student Assembly, the umbrella organization for all political groups affiliated with the Undergraduate Student Government. He is also the President of the Public Policy Undergraduates club, focused on building community among undergraduates in the Price School.

Last summer, Michael interned in the Chicago office of U.S. Senator Tammy Duckworth, where he had the opportunity to engage with leaders at the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services to discuss the current state of immigration in America. He also worked closely with staff to provide housing resources to mixed-status families. Previously, Michael served as a Youth Fellow for Congresswoman Lauren Underwood, where he helped register over 100 newly eligible voters at his high school.

Outside of school, Michael enjoys exploring new brunch spots, playing ultimate frisbee, and humorously reminding his family back home just how warm and sunny Los Angeles is in comparison.
