Grace Theriot
Grace Theriot is a senior at the University of Virginia (UVA) with a double major in Public Policy and Leadership and Jewish Studies (Holocaust Studies concentration) and a minor in Global Studies in Education. She will graduate in May 2026. She is passionate about using public policy and education to decrease incidents of systemic discrimination, genocide, and violent extremism. Her research at the Center of Advanced Genocide Studies mainly looks at the experiences of young women growing up in times of genocide, like the Holocaust. While a student at UVA, Theriot is a Counselor with the University Judiciary Committee, a fellow with the Jewish Studies Department, and an intern with the Brody Jewish Center Hillel. In previous summers, she interned with the global non-profit organizations Ready To Lead Africa and TurnUp Activism, and completed coursework at University College, Oxford. Outside of academics, Theriot enjoys drawing, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
