1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi in Rwanda
April 17, 2024 at 2:00 PM
University of Southern California
Doheny Memorial Library, Room 240
Organized by the US Rwandan Community of Southern California and the USC Dornsife Center for Advanced Genocide Research
Cosponsored by the USC Center for International Studies and USC Thornton School of Music
For 100 days each year, from April 7th through July 4th, Rwandans across the globe mourn the loss of over one million lives taken from us within those same 100 days in 1994. Please join us as we honor the victims and survivors of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda. We will be reflecting on the impact of the genocide and the profound lessons its aftermath presently hold for the Rwandan community and culture around the world, including here in Southern California.
