Converting plastics into high value chemicals using knowledge from rules of life
Nine Wrigley faculty affiliates from across three USC schools were among 15 scholars to receive the 2023 President’s Sustainability Research Award.
This award provides seed funding to support projects that “expand and enhance USC’s research strengths and capabilities in sustainability,” with the goal of helping researchers prepare competitive applications for federal funding opportunities. Topics include but are not limited to: Human Health and Well-Being; Infrastructure and Built Environment; Natural Environment/Ecosystem Services; Communications, Policy, and Institutions; and Risk Analysis and Economic Impact. The funding covers materials and supplies, investigator and administrative personnel salary, and other allowable budget expenses for scholars to expand their research.
