Salena Collins
Bio
Salena Collins is a Yoga lecturer at USC and has been a wellness advocate in her local community of South Los Angeles and the Inglewood area since 2012. She began at Yogaworks almost 20 years ago and completed the Yogaworks Teacher Training Programs and has dedicated over a decade since to sharing and spreading Yoga and mindfulness practices with others. Salena was the founder of Clear Gradens Yoga Studio, the first Yoga studio in Inglewood, CA, which became a space for peace and comfort with a mission to serve the community quality Yoga and wellness resources. She is also the founder of The Balance Of Life Project in 2013, a Yoga and mindfulness program that serves k-12 students at over 12 schools in the Los Angeles, Inglewood, and Compton areas. What’s more, Salena has served as Yoga instructor at many top organizations: LAUSD, CUSD, IUSD, Nasdaq, NBCUniversal , The Grammys, Staples Center, Kaiser Permanente, KJLH Women’s Forum, Inglewood City Hall, ICEF Public Schools, and UCLA David Geffen School Of Medicine. She has been featured on Fox News and was given the Rising Star Award by City National Bank for her dedication to bringing the practice of Yoga and mindfulness to inner city schools. As of 2020, Salena has completed Yoga Therapy Certification, obtained a certificate from Harvard CEEL Graduate Program in Stress, Trauma, and Adversity, as well as a Meditation Certification from Yoga Journal.
