USC Dornsife Student Chosen Sixth in NFL Draft
New York Jets’ pick helps give USC a nation-leading 79 first-rounders.
USC defensive lineman Leonard Williams was selected by the New York Jets with the sixth pick of the 2015 NFL Draft. Wide receiver Nelson Agholor was taken 20th by the Philadelphia Eagles on Thursday. The pair’s choosing gave the Trojans a nation-leading 79 first-round draft picks.
Williams, a sociology major at USC Dornsife, and Agholor, both declared for the draft following their junior seasons. They are the first Trojans taken in the first round since 2012 when Matt Kalil went fourth to the Minnesota Vikings and Nick Perry went 28th to the Green Bay Packers.
Williams and Agholor bring USCs total NFL draftee tally to 485, the most in the country.
