Funding

The Levan Institute provides modest grants ($200–$400 for in-person events and $100–$300 for online events) to help co-sponsor public programs and events in the humanities at USC. This includes lectures, conferences, and workshops, but not private meetings. Grants are awarded on a rolling basis.

The Levan Institute for the Humanities supports interdisciplinary working groups on topics in the humanities, broadly construed. Proposals for new groups are solicited every spring.

A multi-year scholarly cooperation agreement with the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales (EHESS; School of Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences) that aims to build ties between scholars at the two institutions and to support collaborations in research and teaching.
