Ofrenda

Master artist and altar-maker Ofelia Esparza and her daughter Rosana Esparza Ahrens designed this ofrenda — entitled Altar to el Pueblo de Nuestra Señora la Reina de los Ángeles — as a permanent installation in the “Becoming Los Angeles” exhibition at the Natural History Museum. The altar celebrates the material culture and stories of the people of Los Angeles.
