Undergraduate Students
The Korean Studies Institute has several opportunities for undergraduate students at USC. In addition to a list of courses related to Korea offered at USC, the KSI offers a research fellowship for undergraduate students interested in conducting research about Korea or Korean-American issues, writing a research paper and gaining experience presenting at academic conferences.
Graduate Students
The USC Korean Studies Institute provides support for graduate students in many different ways, from fellowships to grants for fieldwork. The USC Korean Studies Institute is also the host of the annual Graduate Conference in Korean Studies which aims to foster a multidisciplinary community of local and regional graduate students whose research projects significantly engage Korean society and culture across the periods. It offers a platform for emerging scholars to present their work-in-progress, receive feedback from faculty and peers, and participate in interdisciplinary discussions within a supportive environment.
