Online Activities for Elementary School Students – Teacher & Parent Resources

Dear Partnering Teacher or Parent,
We are very pleased that you have decided to use our peacemaking resources for your students’ learning experience. The JEP Creative Peace Project offers seven weeks of online lessons. Each lesson is focused on a particular aspect of peace, beginning with a meditation, moving through dance / music / art or story exercises and concluding with a take action component. You can access each lesson’s activities via the tabs below. In addition, we are providing resources in Spanish and English for the parents/guardians of students, so that families can be engaged in the curriculum.

Additional Classroom Resources:

1) “Peace Meditation”: You will receive a copy of the Peace Meditation that you can use in your classroom to keep in your classroom at the completion of the curriculum.

2) “Peace Updates for Your Child”: You will receive a copy of this feedback form that you may decide to use in your classroom with your students, and send home feedback about each child’s peacemaking progress to parents

3) “LAFTER”: You will receive a handout that is an acronym for the aspects of Peaceful Communication that we teach

4) “Feelings”: You will receive a handout that shows kids’ pictures illustrating various feelings to use in your classroom.
- 5) ‘STOP”: You will receive a handout that has “STOP” as a way to make good decisions and be persistent
