Debbie joined the JEP family in January 2018 after working in various departments for the Dornsife College of Letters Arts and Sciences for over 40 years. It was her redirected passion to make a difference in the world that guided her into a career in community service. What better place to start than JEP?
Her professional goal is to help cultivate JEP’s new program, “Understanding Homelessness through Service” (UHS). A program that gives USC students an opportunity to examine problems faced by homeless people while at the same time learning more about many of the Los Angeles organizations that are trying to tackle this serious problem. She is very eager and excited to use her expertise and experience toward this cause while she becomes more educated about the root causes of this social problem.
She is the proud mother of three, grandmother of three and mentor of three; working individually with single mothers who are getting back into the workforce after experiencing life’s challenges. Her personal goals are to assist single mothers while fNewinding meaningful employment with benefits and to help two beautiful granddaughters grow into intelligent, confident, powerful women who will make a difference.
Helping others is truly a humbling experience that she enjoys very much.
