Background

I am excited to be back at USC supporting the expanse of academic subjects at USC Dornsife College of LAS. Dornsife’s interdisciplinary approach and aim “to improve and enrich society” are especially close to my heart.  Previously, I had the privilege of fundraising for our awesome doctors and research at the Keck School of Medicine and the USC Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center. I have worked in the nonprofit sector for more than 15 years including at RAND Corporation and a private foundation. I am a native Los Angeleno and hail from a family with three generations of Trojan graduates.

Favorite USC Initiative

I love Dean Amber Miller’s signature initiative The Academy in the Public Square. Rethinking the role of a university and how our academic research can best serve communities and the world is inspiring to me. The Public Exchange program, a component of the initiative, follows through on the vision by directly connecting our world-leading scholars with civic, business and nonprofit partners. I see a bright tomorrow, knowing these diverse perspectives are coming together to find innovative solutions to the complex problems we are all facing.

Favorite Spot on Campus

One day, I stumbled upon the USC Hoose Library of Philosophy. I was captivated by the beauty of its architecture, the intricacy of its design elements and the clever homage to philosophy embedded throughout – a true hidden gem!
