Background

San Diego is considered home, but I grew up living all over the United States. I attended Louisiana State University where I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and English. Living through Hurricane Katrina profoundly influenced the direction of my life and inspired a deep passion for the environment and future sustainability. I began my career in copywriting and digital marketing until narrowing my focus in the environmental nonprofit sector. I pursued a Master’s degree in Epistemology, Ethics and Mind with the University of Edinburgh, in which I completed a dissertation entitled “The Compatibility of Christian and Environmental Ethics in the Anthropocene,” which focused on the impact and interplay of Christian, environmental and ecofeminist ethics during unprecedented human impact on global ecosystems. I’ve been working in advancement for 8 years and have been part of Dornsife Advancement since joining the Annual Giving team as Assistant Director in May 2020.

In my free time, I enjoy hiking, exploring botanical gardens, watching football and baseball, visiting wine country, and playing with my three children.

Why USC?

My passion for higher education, the environment, and the power of groundbreaking research led me to USC Dornsife. The Academy in the Public Square is an initiative I feel privileged to fundraise for, and the incredible work of the USC Wrigley Institute for Environment and Sustainability is inspiring and has the potential to positively alter the future course of humanity.
