Emergency Resources
At USC, we prioritize the safety and well-being of our students throughout their travels. We have implemented several measures to ensure their safety and health:
- Pre-departure Health Requirements: The USC Student Health Center offers an immunization clinic to assist students in meeting all pre-departure health requirements. View the full list of immunizations offered here.
- Orientation Programs: We conduct pre-departure, safety, and on-site orientations to educate students about safety considerations, local customs, where to seek assistance for questions and concerns, and the emergency protocols specific to each program.
- Health Insurance: Students participating in university-sponsored programs are covered by the USC Student Health Insurance Plan for Student Studying Overseas. Learn more about coverage details here.
- International SOS Program: Students are required to enroll in the International SOS program. This service provides emergency medical and travel assistance worldwide. It is essential for students to carry both their USC ID card and their International SOS ID card at all times during travel for immediate access to medical assistance. Learn more about the International SOS program here.
- Additional Resources: Students are encouraged to review the U.S. Department of State Information for their destination(s) to familiarize themselves with local conditions and potential risks. This knowledge enhances preparedness for safe and healthy travel experiences.
