In addition to students studies, USC offers a variety of avenues to engage in domestic and international travel. As the largest and oldest USC school, Dornsife manages 60+ faculty-led travel programs for students every year, providing global learning opportunities to more than 700 students annually! We offer FLPs as a Maymester, Spring Break, Summer Programs, and Summer Problems Without Passports programs. Through FLPs, students have had the chance to practice their French in Paris, France, investigate social movements in Barcelona, Spain, or learn about climate change on Catalina Island and Taiwan.
Each FLP is a unique program designed and led by USC faculty centered on an area of expertise or interest. Programs travel domestically and internationally and range in duration between 1 week and 1 semester. Most programs are small, allowing students to connect while they learn and travel in groups of 8 to 25 students. We feature a variety of programs that range in length and date of departure, so students have more flexibility to integrate an FLP into their academic plan.
Additionally, FLP sessions can fulfill GE and major requirements, so students can engage in experiential travel and learning while progressing on their academic plan. Learn more about how to make FLP work with your schedule here.
