Starting Spring Term 2026, Dornsife Advising will move to a newly structured Cluster Advising model for undergraduate academic advising, reflected in Advise USC. Beginning this term, academic advisors will work in case teams, allowing you to meet with any advisor within your Cluster Focus area. Each advisor on your case team will be up to date on your academic goals, progress, and questions, making advising more flexible, connected, and tailored to your needs.
Our case team approach is designed to provide consistent guidance, easy access to support, and collaborative expertise whenever you need it. Whether you’re planning courses, exploring majors, or considering post-graduate opportunities, your cluster advising team is here to help you navigate your academic journey with confidence. Fight on!
The Dornsife Difference
With nearly 200 majors and minors, USC Dornsife encourages students to explore their interests in our three academic clusters: humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences.
In addition to providing students with an academic advisor based on their major and minor, students may also use pre-health, pre-law, and pre-graduate school advising services, all of whom work together to help prepare students for life after USC.
Student Services
Whether you’re thinking about studying law, health, or applying to a graduate program, Dornsife has a team of specialized advisors here to help you prepare for taking the next big step.
