Sarah Hennessy is a 5th year PhD candidate studying Brain and Cognitive Sciences at USC’s Brain and Creativity Institute. She is advised by Dr. Assal Habibi and Dr. Antonio Damasio. Her work focuses on music-evoked autobiographical memories and mixed emotions such as nostalgia. She explores these concepts in individuals across the lifespan, using behavioral and neuroimaging methods (fMRI). Outside of lab, she is a singer and a violinist, and volunteers with the Alzheimer’s Association to increase awareness for Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias in the LA community.
