USC’s Center for the Political Future (CPF) announced that Marshall Silberberg, Founding Partner of the Southern California law firm that bears his name, has joined its high-level Board of Councilors.

“As an attorney, I see both sides of issues, advocate for clients, and compromise when it makes sense. These traits are also needed in American politics, and the Center for the Political Future champions them,” said Silberberg. “We need the next generation of leaders to understand civil discourse and practical politics. I am honored to join the CPF Board of Councilors and work for a better political future for our nation.”

Silberberg joins existing CPF Board members Kevin Beggs, Barbara Boxer, Ken Broad, Yar Chaikovsky, Lisa Korbatov, Kevin Parikh, Jeff Polak, and Hope Warschaw.

CPF plans to expand to 12 Board members by the end of calendar 2023 in order to grow its successful programs, create new ones, increase opportunities for students and carry out its mandate to educate and train future generations of political leaders.

“Our Board has been critical in advancing the Center’s mission. With their support, more students have participated in more educational programs that have had more impact,” said CPF Director Robert Shrum. “Marshall is a leading legal figure in Southern California. He’s been a great supporter of his alma mater USC. We’re excited and honored that he’ll be an even more integral part of our work going forward.”

Those who are interested in serving on the Board should consider joining one of CPF’s Center Leadership Circles and contacting CPF Executive Director Kamy Akhavan (kakhavan@usc.edu).
