USC’s Center for the Political Future (CPF) announced that Aaron Nir, Sanei International USA LLC Chief Executive Officer, has joined its high-level Board of Councilors.

Mr. Nir has been a business leader in fashion and brands for many years. He brings to CPF his top tier business acumen and his deep passion for combatting various forms of hatred in the world, especially antisemitism.

“I came in contact with CPF for the first time during Family Weekend fall of 2021 when my eldest son was a freshman. The room was packed and the audience was rapt listening to CPF Executive Director Kamy Akhavan explain the mission and make student political life at USC come to life. I was fascinated and encouraged to hear CPF’s ambitious plan to reestablish a sense of balanced dialog in our political discourse. Since then I have had the pleasure to work with Bob Shrum and Kamy to think about ways to lessen the impact that burgeoning anti-semitism and hate seem to have on society lately. I am grateful for the opportunity to be on the board and work with great minds to try and find solutions to this vexing problem.”

Nir joins existing CPF Board members Kevin Beggs, Barbara Boxer, Ken Broad, Yar Chaikovsky, Lisa Korbatov, Kevin Parikh, Jeff Polak, Marshall Silberberg, and Hope Warschaw.

CPF plans to expand to 12 Board members by the end of calendar 2024 in order to grow its successful programs, create new ones, increase opportunities for students and carry out its mandate to educate and train future generations of political leaders.

“Our Board has been critical in advancing the Center’s mission. With their support, more students have participated in more educational programs that have had more impact,” said CPF Director Robert Shrum. “Aaron Nir has been a powerful champion for combating hatred. His ideas, connections, advice, and resources are immensely useful to the organization. We are thrilled and honored to have him on the Board.”

Those who are interested in serving on the Board should consider joining one of CPF’s Center Leadership Circles and contacting CPF Executive Director Kamy Akhavan (kakhavan@usc.edu).
