Monica Garcia Prado, Program Manager

Monica Prado Garcia serves as the Academic Program Manager at Dornsife Academic Innovation and Research Engagement (AIRE). Prior to joining Dornsife, Monica served the USC community in both academic services and admission. She also received her Master’s of Education in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from USC Rossier School of Education and will be completing her Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership in 2023. Her research interests include student success, campus climate and asset-based approaches to support services in higher education. Monica envisions creating a space in AIRE that is inclusive, innovative and engaging for the USC Dornsife community.
In her free time, Monica enjoys spending time with her family, visiting national parks and trying out new eateries across Los Angeles.

Melany Escobar, Program Assistant
Pronouns: she/her/hers
Melany serves as the Academic Program Assistant at Dornsife Academic Innovation and Research Engagement (AIRE). She received her B.A from the University of California, Santa Barbara and her Master’s of Education in Postsecondary Administration and Student Affairs from USC Rossier School of Education. Melany is in charge of managing the front desk area and supporting affiliated centers with event coordination, travel arrangements and other administrative tasks.
In her free time, Melany enjoys exploring new coffee shops and taking walks by the beach.
