The RX2000 is a portable stopped-flow accessory from Applied Photophysics enabling measurement of short-lived reactions. It allows kinetic measurement of reactions at least thousand-fold faster than those run by manual methods. It can generate reproducible data with only volume of 120 μL. The dead time of RX2000 is only 8 ms allowing first order reaction rates over 200s-1 to be measured. The syringes mounted on a rigid drive platform stop the flow precisely and instantaneously. Reagents travel in this inert sample circuit through an umbilical cord to the flow cell containing a high efficiency T-format mixer. The drive syringes can be readily substituted to allow mixing ratios from 1:1 to 1:10. Sample temperature can be controlled from syringes through the cell by digital temperature display (0-60 ℃).
