Signature Events
Harnessing the Power of Art to Seed Change
The arts have a unique ability to capture people’s attention, seed change, and spur action. Through Arts @ Wrigley, we support environment and sustainability-focused artists and engage the public on climate issues at arts-based events and exhibitions.
Discovering the Future of Marine Research
The Wrigley Institute’s Scientific Diving Discovery Program engages students from underrepresented backgrounds in the world of marine research, so that all perspectives can be brought to bear on solving the most pressing environmental and sustainability issues.
USC Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber
The USC Catalina Hyperbaric Chamber is an emergency medical facility on Catalina Island for the treatment of scuba diving accidents. Chamber facilities are on the waterfront of the Wrigley Marine Science Center and adjacent to a helipad that is permitted for day or night helicopter landings. Staffed by a dedicated team of Wrigley Institute employees and medical volunteers, the chamber works closely with the Los Angeles County Medical Alert Center (MAC) and operates as an extension of the Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center Department of Emergency Medicine.
As part of the Wrigley Institute and its educational mission, chamber staff and volunteers also contribute regularly to education and training programs for scientific divers and hyperbaric medicine specialists.
