Self-dissection

ByGarrett Goodrum

“When I make art, I choose to look inward instead of outward. I peer into myself and try to
express my thoughts and emotions on a page or through sculpture. This artwork represents that
process of reflection to creation. Through the figures toiling away, the sculpture sits on the
threshold of construction and destruction just as in creating art, I break down and explore my
psyche.”
