Yellow Walls

ByAmanda Suarez

Yellow walls and carpet floors.

Four walls and three windows.

One ice cream truck

Circling the block.

No calls.

No callers.

An empty guestbook by my side.

A perfect rest for the glass.

Four yellow walls. Three drinks.

Two tears.

One me. Waiting.

Since then, she has loved every form of writing, including fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, and screenwriting. She has love for digital media writing as well, and currently also writes for Annenberg Media and The Sack of Troy on campus.
