Jonathan D. Aronson is a professor in the USC Annenberg School for Communication & Journalism and also in USC’s School of International Relations, of which he was director from 1995 to 2001. He earned his undergraduate degree at Harvard and his doctorate in political science from Stanford University. In 2001 he received an honorary doctorate from St. Petersburg State University, Russia. His teaching, research, and writing focus on international trade, globalization, and international communications policy, and his books (with Peter Cowhey) include Managing the World Economy; When Countries Talk: International Trade in Telecommunications Services; and most recently, Transforming Global Information and Communications Markets: The Political Economy of Innovation.
