Janice Rhoshalle Littlejohn is a journalist, content creator, and program director who tells stories of culture, environment and wellness that inspire connection and change. A contributor to numerous U.S. and international publications including Ms. Magazine, Shondaland, Essence, and Los Angeles Review of Books, Janice’s award-winning reportage has been recognized by the Los Angeles Press Club and National Association of Black Journalists, among others.
As Associate Director for the Los Angeles Institute for the Humanities at USC and Recreation Services Leader at Stoneview Nature Center, her work spans the intersections of climate action and community care, health and wellness, and social justice.
Currently, Janice is at work on an autoethnography which draws on themes of Black maternal mortality, reproductive choice, and America’s obsession with women’s wombs through her grandmother’s story and her own. She is co-author of Swirling: How to Date, Mate, and Relate Mixing Race, Culture, and Creed (Atria/Simon & Schuster) and has contributed to several anthologies as writer and editor.
