David L. Ulin is the book editor of the Los Angeles Times. He is the author of The Myth of Solid Ground: Earthquakes, Prediction, and the Fault Line Between Reason and Faith and the editor of Another City: Writing from Los Angeles and Writing Los Angeles: A Literary Anthology, which received a 2002 California Book Award. His work has appeared in The Nation, The Atlantic Monthly, The New York Times Book Review, Los Angeles, and LA Weekly and on NPR’s All Things Considered. From 2000 to 2005, he taught in the M.F.A. Creative Writing Program at Antioch University Los Angeles.
