Four Reasons to Love the New JEP Website!

By Hinde Kast (Originally Published February 22, 2017)

JEP just underwent one of its biggest makeovers since the JEP House renovation in 2011: a complete and total website redesign. Here are four reasons to visit our new site (www.usc.edu/jep):

  1. We have completely reorganized the website in order to make it easier to navigate. The website is now organized into eight distinct sections: Home, About JEP, JEP Programs, Student Resources, Faculty Resources, Community Partners, Work at JEP and Give to JEP. Each tab has been created with clarity and organization in mind. It is important for us that visitors to the JEP website can navigate the website with ease.
  2. The new organization makes it easy for different constituent groups to find what they are looking for.  The site offers something for everything, such as information about how faculty can partner with JEP, profiles of the staff, the Program Assistants’ office hours, online versions of JEP documents and forms, graduate student opportunities, to current job openings. We truly recreated the website with our participants and partners in mind.
  3. We added a database to the website that lists current JEP courses and volunteer opportunities. Whether you are a student wanting to know what classes are offering JEP credit or a student just wanting to volunteer, all of our opportunities are there for you to check out.
  4. In a society where a phone is the primary tool used to search the web, we made sure to create a website that was optimized for mobile devices. Whether you are on a phone, a tablet or on the computer, the JEP website will accommodate your device.

The JEP website makeover was made with our students, faculty, community partners and friends in mind. It was crucial for us to create a website that was easy to navigate, had a ton of resources, and clearly encompassed what JEP is all about.
