March 2021

We met via Zoom on March 1 and in addition to announcing that Rebecca will be joining our work, we welcomed new partners and celebrated the Governor’s appointment of our colleague UCI Prof. Michael Méndez to the Los Angeles Regional Water Quality Board. We also discussed the launching of ICW’s podcast, Western Edition, in 2021 with the first season devoted to fire. More information to follow – as well as details on the partners from the West on Fire who will join Bill on the podcast. Fundraising for the project is on-going, with thanks to Wrigley for a Faculty Innovation Award supporting the project and Jared Aldern’s trails work.
