Biography
Maxwell Shiller is a fourth year doctoral student broadly interested in the interactions between nature and ancient cultures with a particular focus on natural disasters in the Greco-Roman world. His recent work explores the Rhodian earthquake of 227 BC as a creative force and its place in the shifting political and economic dynamics of the Hellenistic period.
