Summary Statement of Research Interests
My research interests are broad, but mostly focus on Greek and Latin philology. In particular, I am interested in philological analysis of texts that are primarily philosophical in nature. My senior thesis as an undergraduate, titled “The Concept of Drunkenness in Seneca’s Epistulae Morales” focused on Seneca’s theory of alcohol use and abuse and how it relates to the Stoic theory of emotions. In addition, I am interested in Greek and Latin epic poetry, and Latin poetry in general.
