Angel Castillo

I am a 1st year PhD student in the department of Classics. I received my a BA in Classics and a BA in History at the University of California, Irvine prior to coming to USC. I am mainly interested in Roman History, Byzantine History, Intellectual History, Temporality, Late Antiquity, and Early Christianity. In particular, I am interested in analyzing the interactions of different temporal conceptions/ structures and how they influence historical action in Late Antiquity, as well as how these interactions inform the formulation of different perceptions of History.

In my free time I enjoy playing music and spending time with my loved ones.
