The Alfred E. Mann Innovation in Chemistry Doctoral Fellowship was established in November 2021 with generous support from the Alfred E. Mann Institute for Biomedical Engineering at USC (AMI-USC). The AMI fellowship is intended to support chemistry doctoral students conducting innovative interdisciplinary research relevant to medicine and health care. The application is open to all chemistry PhD students who work with a research advisor with a primarily tenured or tenure-track appointment in the Department of Chemistry. AMI-USC will provide an annual stipend of $34,000, renewable for up to 3 years. Tuition and health insurance fees will be covered by the USC Dana and David Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences.
There will be one fellowship available with the starting date of July 1, 2022. Applications materials should be submitted via email to: chemmail.usc.edu, with the subject indicating “AMI Chemistry Fellowship” and the student’s last name. The deadline for the 2022 application is March 15, 2022. Awardee will be announced by May 15, 2022.
