Biological Sciences at USC Dornsife brings together undergraduate study across the breadth of modern biology. Through the B.A. and B.S. in Biological Sciences, students build a strong foundation in the life sciences while exploring questions that span molecules and cells, organisms, evolution, and ecosystems. Coursework and undergraduate research provide opportunities to connect foundational concepts with the biological questions and fields that interest them most. The Biological Sciences program is supported by faculty and academic communities across four Biological Sciences Departments: Human and Evolutionary Biology, Marine and Environmental Biology, Molecular and Cellular Biosciences, and Neurobiology.
Biological Sciences Departments
Explore the four Biological Sciences Departments and learn more about their faculty, research, programs, and opportunities.
Explore human biology through physiology, anatomy, behavior, health, and evolution.
Explore organisms and ecosystems with strengths in marine biology, microbial ecology, integrative organismal biology, and biogeochemistry.
Explore the molecular and biochemical foundations of life, from genes and genomes to cells, organisms, and evolution.
Explore the biological mechanisms and structures that underlie nervous system function, from individual neurons and synapses to whole brain networks.
