Graduate Programs
USC offers three different progressive Master’s degrees for students currently enrolled in undergrad Biology studies.
MS in Developmental Origins of Health and Disease
In USC’s new Developmental Origins of Health & Disease program, a joint endeavor with Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA), our researchers look to the past to help predict future health outcomes.

MS in Marine and Environmental Biology
The Master of Science degree in Marine and Environmental Biology (MEB) is designed to provide admitted students with a rigorous, quantitative and focused introduction to the burgeoning fields and breadth of topics in marine environmental biology/chemistry, geobiology, oceanography, conservation biology and population dynamics (depending upon the concentration selected).

MS in Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry
The Department of Biological Sciences at USC offers a progressive Master of Science (MS) degree in Molecular Genetics and Biochemistry. This degree provides the opportunity for a limited number of USC students who have already obtained some research experience to spend an extra year in their lab carrying out research at the graduate level.
