Biography
Jessica Hanson is a Ralph and Jean Hovel Fellow and fourth-year PhD candidate in the Department of Art History, as well as a recipient of the Visual Studies Graduate Certificate. She received her BA in art history from Duke University, where she graduated summa cum laude. Her research focuses on the trajectory of sports photography in the twentieth century, particularly in the mass media environments of France, Germany and the United States.
