Dornsife Undergraduate Academic Advising

With nearly 200 majors and minors, USC Dornsife encourages students to explore their interests in our three academic clusters: humanities, natural sciences, and social sciences.

In addition to providing students with an academic advisor based on their major and minor, students may also use pre-health, pre-law, and pre-graduate school advising services, all of whom work together to help prepare students for life after USC.

This month, we’re excited to spotlight Bianca Arzan-Montanez is a remarkable senior at USC, pursuing a double major in Gender & Sexuality Studies and Public Relations. Her leadership roles have made a significant impact on the USC community. As a key figure in both the Latine Student Assembly (LSA) and the Daily Trojan, Bianca has contributed extensively to promoting diversity and inclusion on campus. She has held various editorial positions at the Daily Trojan, including News Editor, Spanish Supplement Editor, and Associate Managing Editor, showcasing her dedication and ability to lead teams of students in producing work that serves the greater community.

In addition to her editorial work, Bianca served as the Chair of Communications for LSA, where she helped uplift underrepresented Latine communities, a cause that is deeply important to her. Bianca has also earned recognition for her academic achievements, including being named the undergraduate recipient of the Tedesco Scholarship for the 2024-2025 year. As a dedicated independent researcher, Bianca balances her academic workload with leadership responsibilities and community involvement. She has volunteered with the American Heart Association and consistently worked to make lasting, positive change. With her strong drive for equity, inclusion, and social justice, Bianca’s future is bright, and we look forward to seeing her continue to make an impact wherever her talents take her.
