Diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) are central to the academic mission of USC Dornsife. Moreover, these values are increasingly important to incoming and current students, faculty, and staff who would be accessing our sites, and it is important to demonstrate our commitment to advancing these values in our departments.

The website is a prospective student’s or faculty hire’s first look at what we are all about. As we launch the new USC Dornsife website, there may be many great opportunities to highlight and integrate these values along with our descriptions of academics, departments, and culture. For example, highlighting recent hires of faculty of color to expand representation could be important to a prospective faculty hire wanting community, or year-to-year increases in student diversity to show prospective parents that the department will be a great place for their child. Not only can we showcase what we’ve accomplished, but our ongoing efforts to improve.
