| Writing 150 | |
| Week 1: |
Register for a seat as they become available. Students can move around freely without requesting approval. All Writing 150 sections are capped at 15 seats–no exceptions. Professors do not have the authority to approve students to register for a class that is at max capacity (15/15 students). |
| Week 2: |
All WRIT 150 sections go on D-clearance during week 2. There is no waitlist for Writing 150, but if you see a seat open on the schedule (for a class that has not already met for the last time during Week 2–if it has, see Week 3), complete the WRIT 150 D-Clearance form here (this form is now closed–please see Week 3). Completing the form does not guarantee a seat. If you are granted D-clearance, the Writing Program office will contact you to register and attend the next class meeting. Notes: Do not attend any WRIT 150 sections you are not registered for. |
| Week 3: |
Adding in week 3 is strongly discouraged and requires administrative and instructor approval. Given the nature of the writing curriculum and the workshop format of the class, joining a Writing 150 section after the second week of the semester places a student at a severe disadvantage in terms of the goals and requirements of the course. Any seats assigned in Week 3 will be done through the Writing Program office. Email writprog@usc.edu with questions. |
