More than an online journal,
Scribe is a space where undergraduate voices shape the intellectual and cultural conversations of campus life. As USC’s only entirely student-run academic publication, Scribe thrives at the intersection of scholarly rigor and creative exploration. Our contributors and editors work together to bring complex ideas to a wider audience, crafting essays, reviews, and reflections that engage with pressing issues in and beyond the university.
Founded in 2004, Scribe has grown into a platform that champions work from every discipline. Whether a piece analyzes global political shifts, interprets art and literature, or reflects on lived experiences in Los Angeles, we view each article as part of a broader dialogue. Editorial decisions are made collaboratively and intentionally, with care to highlight both exceptional writing and a diversity of perspectives.
At its core, Scribe is built on curiosity, intellectual honesty, and a belief that student voices belong in the public sphere. It is this commitment that continues to shape our editorial vision and the community around it.
