Steve Hsu, M.S. is a Yoga teacher and Master Lecturer in the Physical Education + Mind-Body Health Department at USC. He serves on the Dornsife Faculty Council and Academic Senate. Steve has been a member of USC’s faculty since 2009 and has taught at the collegiate level for over 20 years. Steve holds a Master’s of Science in Physical Education from Azusa Pacific University and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with a Minor in Psychology from UCLA, as well as a Professional Degree in Fashion Design from the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in Los Angeles. Steve completed his Yoga teacher training at Yogaworks with Maty Ezraty and Lisa Walford and trains primarily in the Iyengar Yoga tradition. He has formerly taught classes at Yogaworks, Equinox and Lululemon and he is certified in the following: American Council on Exercise Group Exercise Instructor; National Strength and Conditioning Association Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist; Mad Dogg Athletics Spinning Instructor; TRX Suspension Training, Rip Training and Functional Training Instructor; Zumba Basics Instructor and Zumba Toning Instructor; American Red Cross Adult and Pediatric First Aid, CPR and AED Instructor; Kung Fu San Soo (Third Degree Black Belt) Instructor, and Power Plate (Vibration Training) Instructor. At USC, he teaches Yoga for Beginners, Yoga for Athletic Performance, Restorative Yoga, Stress Management for Healthy Living, First Aid and CPR, Cardio Group Fitness, Physical Conditioning, and Weight Training. In his leisure time, Steve enjoys playing tennis, riding horses, country line dancing, and being a cowboy.
