Dozens of students were recognized for academic achievements at Leavey Library, including many from USC Dornsife.
The four new Dornsife Scholars combine the talents sought in USC’s Discovery, Renaissance and Global Scholars programs with an added emphasis on positive human impact.
The day has arrived. During Commencement 2014, USC Dornsife issued nearly 2,600 degrees: 1,947 bachelor’s, 364 master’s, 73 graduate certificates and 203 Ph.Ds. Here are four stories from graduates who will go out and conquer the world.
The Ph.D. Hooding Ceremony held exclusively for USC Dornsife recipients took place May 15 at Howard Jones Field. This year, doctoral degrees were issued to 203 graduates — including two shining examples.
The three aspiring physicians share a desire to better the world. “When you follow your heart, the rest will follow,” valedictorian Jana Shapiro says.
The annual event lauds the best and brightest USC faculty and students.
The names of top USC Dornsife students will adorn the wall of Leavey Library in an honor celebrating university-wide students awarded a national or international scholarship.
