The Modeling and Simulation Laboratory (MSL) in the Center for Applied Mathematical Sciences (CAMS) and the Department of Mathematics at the University of Southern California is an interdisciplinary group of faculty members, post-doctoral researchers, graduate and undergraduate students, and researchers from local industry and laboratories working on problems involving the application of mathematical modeling, simulation, control and estimation. The MSL operates an advanced computational facility in the Department of Mathematics on the USC campus. The computational resources in the MSL include a networked array of high speed PCs running both Windows and UNIX and advanced high speed workstations for simulations that require graphics, visualization and animation. The USC Department of Mathematics is an institutional member of the NSF supported Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (MSRI) at the University of California, Berkeley. USC is also a member of the San Diego Supercomputing Consortium.
